This is the spring hinge that gently closes and secures your glove box door. Original springs often lose their tension after decades - causing the door to either not close properly or to snap shut too quickly. This particular model is for RHD (Right-Hand Drive) vehicles and fits T1 Beetles and Karmann Ghias with OEM number 112 805 163. Combine this with a new glove box door if yours is cracked or weakened.
