The electric fuel sender (271 919 051B) is responsible for the fuel level you see on your dashboard. This replacement for your Karmann Ghia accurately measures the amount of fuel in the tank via a variable resistor. With age - contacts can wear out and your fuel gauge may show unreliable readings - so replacement is the simplest solution. Combine this with a new tank gasket and you'll be ready for years of worry-free driving pleasure.
