The electric fuel sender (311 919 051) is located in your fuel tank and constantly informs your odometer how much petrol is left. On Type 3 models - this part is reliable - but after decades of wear - it can become more sensitive or fail completely. This float converts the tank level into an electrical signal to your dashboard. Combine this with a new tank kit or carburetor rebuild kit for a fully functional fuel circuit.
