The rubber ring around your fuel filler cap becomes misshapen after years - allowing dirt and water into your tank. This is the original Volkswagen ring for the T3 - OEM number 251 201 131 - which provides a good seal and fits perfectly on the standard fuel filler neck. Replace it simultaneously with a new fuel filler cap or fuel filler collar for complete maintenance.
