This rubber-like seal ensures that your fuel cap fits snugly on the fuel tank - preventing contamination and evaporation. This is the threaded model (113 201 557E) that fits T1 - Type 3 - Karmann Ghia - and Type 4. After decades - the rubber can expand or crack - so replacement is a small but useful maintenance task. Combine this with a new fuel cap for a complete refresh.
