This rubber seal sits between the mirror cap and the mirror body, preventing water and dirt from entering. After years in the sun, these seals harden and tear easily, leading to moisture problems. The original profile (OEM 251 857 543) fits perfectly on your T3 and is much cheaper than replacing an entire new mirror. Combine this with the other mirror seals if you're already working on it.
