This is the inner part of the lock mechanism on your front trunk lid - the piece that latches into the bracket when you close the lid. After decades - it can wear out - causing your lid to no longer close securely or open smoothly. This original lock (111 823 507E/F) fits all T1 Beetles and ensures that your bonnet closes reliably again. Combine this with the outer lock plate for a complete restoration.
