The gas strut of your T3 tailgate eventually wears out and no longer stays open by itself - which is quite annoying when loading and unloading. This original gas strut 251 829 331A provides the necessary support again - so the tailgate opens easily and stays open. Installation is simple: replace two bolts and you're done. Combine this with new hinge pins if you're already working on it.
