This clip holds the sill molding securely in place along the bottom of your door. On Type 3s, the chrome trim can start to slide without these clips, especially if you drive a lot. It's a simple plastic clip (OEM 311 853 589) that prevents your trim from shifting or becoming warped. Combine this with new rubber sill strips for a completely refreshed sill area.
