VW T1 Bus | Rear Tension Rod | 225 875 555
This tension bar is located at the rear and keeps the tailgate tight against the bodywork. The OEM replacement part 225 875 555 tends to wear out - which you'll notice by rattling or insufficient pressure on the latch. You need two for each T1 - so order them as a set. Combine this with a new locking screw and some touch-up paint while you're at it.
