The folding roof's front beam takes a lot of abuse: sun, rain, and constant folding in and out. This seal (OEM 225 875 549) prevents water from getting between the canvas and the roof opening, which causes rust and mold. If your roof leaks or the previous seal has shriveled, this part is really necessary. Combine this with a new rear beam seal and the corresponding new rubbers for a completely renewed roof.
