These guide pieces ensure that your sliding roof retracts and extends smoothly and straight - without skewing. They guide the roof along the sides and prevent it from jumping out of the rails. For T1 models with a sliding roof - they are essentially indispensable - especially if your roof is stiff or shows wear. Combine this with new roof rails if those are also worn.
