This spring is located behind the locking mechanism of your folding roof and ensures that the mechanism always returns to the correct position. In a frequently used T1 - this spring slowly wears out - resulting in a loose lock that no longer fastens properly. Replacement is simple: just remove the panel and swap the old spring for a new one. OEM number 115 875 199 fits perfectly. While you're at it - combine this with a new washer.
