These rubber pop-outs are located where the window frames and body meet, preventing water and dirt from seeping in. They wear out after years and eventually crack or harden, so replacement is worthwhile. You need two per Beetle (OEM 113 847 131B). Combine these with new window frames or sliding window seals for a complete seal.
