The accelerator pedal lever is the connection between your accelerator pedal and the carburettor - so when it wears or breaks - you'll immediately feel it in your footwork. For T1 - Type 3 - Karmann Ghia and Type 181 - we supply the replacement part with numbers 311 721 509A or 113 798 901D - depending on your model. A worn lever can feel rough or even get stuck - which is why replacement is really necessary if you notice that the accelerator pedal doesn't spring back smoothly. Combine this part with a new accelerator cable for optimal operation.
